SEC

The Securities and Exchange Commission, or the SEC, is the primary federal government agency that regulates the securities markets. The SEC’s mission is composed of three equally important tasks. First, to improve consumer protection. Second, to improve the stability of the financial markets. And third, to make it easier for companies to raise money in order to grow. When Alice begins her career, she wants to be an attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission, to help make securities markets safer for investors.
