The Consumer Product Safety Commission is a federal government agency that investigates the safety of products, and develops policies to help make sure that products are safe. In cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, over 100,000 Disney-branded pogo sticks were recalled in 2011, because they were found to be dangerous for consumers.
