Scholarship Opportunities

The Wharton Global Youth Program is committed to supporting academically driven students with demonstrated financial need. Through a range of need-based scholarships and financial awards, we are proud to offer a limited number of full and partial funding opportunities to eligible program participants. Review the eligibility criteria for the various scholarships outlined below.

Applicants to the Management and Technology Summer Institute should visit the M&TSI site for details regarding available program scholarships.

Scholarship Details

Scholarship information is reviewed confidentially by the Wharton Global Youth Review Committee and does not influence admission decisions.

  • Admission decisions are need-blind. Financial need does not impact whether a student is admitted into a program.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer financial aid to all students who apply. Funding is limited and awarded based on a combination of demonstrated need and academic merit.
  • If applying to multiple summer programs, you will only submit one scholarship application.
  • You do not need to select a specific scholarship opportunity; the Wharton Global Youth Review Committee will determine which is the best fit.
  • Financial documentation is not required for the initial scholarship application, though we reserve the right to request verification.
  • Only students who are admitted into a program will be considered for scholarship funding.
  • Scholarship decisions will be shared within 48 hours of admission notification.

Scholarship FAQs

Can international students apply for scholarships? Will it impact admissions decisions?

Yes, international students who meet the eligibility criteria of any of the scholarship awards above are more than welcome to apply. Scholarship applications are reviewed independently of program applications and will not impact admissions decisions.

Should I Submit More Than One Scholarship Application?

No. The scholarship application does not vary by program, so there is no need to submit more than one scholarship application. If you re applying to multiple summer programs, you need only check off all programs to which you are applying within the scholarship application to be considered.

When will I receive my scholarship decision?

Scholarship decisions will be emailed to applicants within 48 hours of the release of their admission decision. Students who are not admitted into a program will be considered ineligible for a program scholarship and will not receive a scholarship notification.

What costs does the scholarship cover? How is the award applied?

Program scholarships are applied towards relevant program fees, which vary by program type. Refer to the Program Fees chart above to determine what costs are covered by program fees.

If the scholarship award is full, all program fees will be waived for the program participant. If the scholarship award is partial, the participant will be financially responsible for the balance of remaining program fees.

Any additional costs associated with attending programs, such as textbooks or class materials, transportation to/from campus, additional meals, incidentals, spending money, etc., will be the financial responsibility of the program participant and are not covered by a program scholarship.

How do I formally accept or decline the scholarship?

Scholarship decisions will be emailed to students and will include relevant instructions for formally accepting or declining the award. If scholarship recipients do not accept the award within the allotted time frame, they will forfeit the award.

Are scholarships transferrable between programs?

As scholarship funding varies by program, unfortunately financial awards may not be transferred between programs.
