How to Highlight What You Learned from Us

Badges & Certificates: You Just Earned a Wharton Digital Credential

Wharton uses Accredible, a globally recognized digital credential platform, to provide students with badges and certificates of completion for our courses and programs. Your Accredible badge or certificate is more than just a PNG or PDF file; it has many useful features, such as:

  • Interactivity: Your Wharton certificate or badge isn’t just a static file. It includes hyperlinks that lead directly to Wharton course information, providing a detailed overview of your learning for anyone who is interested. Be sure to review these details when you receive your digital credential.
  • Showcasing Your New Skills: When applying to colleges or jobs, this Wharton digital credential enables your potential school or employer to see that you completed the course and the challenging material you were able to master. It quickly illustrates the depth and rigor of your Wharton education.
  • Easily Shareable: You can share your interactive credentials on LinkedIn, add them to your résumé, and email them directly to potential employers or admissions offices. They can instantly access the full course details with just one click. Click HERE for instructions on how to add your credential to LinkedIn.

Your Wharton digital credentials are professional tools highlighting your unique achievements. Use them to share what you’ve accomplished.

Attention Pre-baccalaureate Students: Here’s How to Get Your Official Penn Transcript

Successful completion of your online Wharton Pre-baccalaureate course results in a transcript from the University of Pennsylvania. A transcript is a representation of a student’s academic record while at the University of Pennsylvania. You may need a transcript to apply for undergraduate school or when you begin looking for a job.

The Office of the University Registrar can generate official transcripts for a small fee upon request, and most students and alumni can view unofficial transcripts for free at any time on Path@Penn

For further information regarding fees associated with ordering your transcript and additional instructions on how to order and send or mail your transcripts to yourself or the universities that you intend to apply to, please visit the Office of the Registrar’s website directly: https://srfs.upenn.edu/student-records/transcripts/current-students-1988-present .

Add Your Wharton Global Youth Experience to the Common App

Wharton Global Youth Program has its own CEEB Code. When filling out the Common App or Coalition App during the college application process, enter the code 6999. It is a way to record your learning with Wharton Global Youth.

FYI, CEEB stands for College Entrance Examination Board, which is now more commonly known as the College Board (the organization that administers standardized tests like the SAT and AP exams).

A CEEB Code is a unique identifier that the College Board assigns to high schools, colleges and universities to identify different institutions and programs during the college-application process. In short, a CEEB code functions like an institutional “ID number” that integrates a program into the broader education ecosystem, allowing it to more easily support students’ academic journeys and document the impact of that experience.

Wharton Global Youth Social Media Best Practices

Follow us @whartonyouth
Have you completed a Wharton Global Youth Program? Share your experience and tag us on social media
  1. Follow us on LinkedIn: The LinkedIn social media platform is an excellent place to showcase your professional and educational accomplishments. It’s never too early to start connecting with peers, faculty and teaching assistants, and to proudly display your skills and experiences. Start building your network and your online résumé.
  2. Add us to the “Education” section of your profile: Have you participated in a Global Youth program or course? Add us (and your badge or digital certificate) to the “Education” section of your LinkedIn profile. Be sure to include the program or course name in the “field of study” portion of the form and whether you received a program certificate or Pre-baccalaureate credits. While Wharton Global Youth provides a rich academic experience, it is not a full diploma program. We recommend using the word “completed” rather than “graduated” when reflecting on your Global Youth experience. The best part of your Wharton Global Youth digital badge is that it is easily shared on most platforms. Accredible has widgets for all major social media channels. Click HERE for instructions on how to add your credential to LinkedIn.
  3. Share a highlight on social: We love hearing more about your Wharton Global Youth experience! What program or course did you complete? What did you enjoy the most? What did you take away from learning with an instructor or working on a group project? Perhaps you studied a new concept? What did you learn from your Wharton Youth community? Did you participate in additional summer learning opportunities, like contests, workshops or career chats? Remember to provide additional details and context when reflecting on your Wharton experience and keep the tone professional. You are representing Global Youth and Wharton.
  4. Tag respectfully: Of course you can tag Wharton Global Youth (@WhartonYouth)! And if your instructors and professors are active on the platform, it’s probably okay to tag them too. If you’re unsure, just ask.
  5. Pictures say 1,000 words: Don’t forget to include some fun images in your posts. We love seeing your smiling faces, whether you studied with us online or on campus.

Planning a Post? Don’t Forget to…

  • Respect Class Time: Capture and share your moments of learning after class hours to stay focused and keep the learning environment thriving.
  • Practice Positivity: Highlight your achievements and memorable experiences. Spread good will and uplift your peers.
  • Respect Privacy: Remember to ask before sharing images or videos of friends to ensure everyone feels comfortable.
  • Protect Personal Information: Share wisely and keep your personal details private. This includes phone numbers, email addresses, full names, and home addresses.

By following these guidelines, we can create a vibrant, respectful, and safe online community for everyone.
